Editor Onboarding.

Register yourself as an Editor on ScienceNet.

• Provide relevant and accurate professional information in the form (including optional fields if possible).
• After registration, you will receive an email with a confirmation link. If you cannot find it, check your spam folder.
• Once you confirm, our moderator will review your submission, validating submission data is correct (verify if you work for this Publisher/Journal, check your LinkedIn profile). This usually happens within 1 working day. If the moderator needs clarification, they will contact you by email.

Once the moderator accepts you, sign in to ScienceNet.

• The first page you will see after logging in is your Editor dashboard.
• Here you can find the key information grouped in sections:

• Your profile summary
• Review invitations sent to Reviewers
• Active reviews you are managing
• Upcoming deadlines
• Completed reviews and their cost

We recommend providing all information about yourself during sign-up. However, it is worth checking again and filling in anything missing. Add your photo and links to your website and LinkedIn profile.

When you send review invitations, Reviewers will visit your profile to get to know you better.

On the Reviewers page you can browse Reviewer profiles to find the most suitable experts for your manuscript. Use our advanced tools and filters to accomplish this in minutes.

If you find a good candidate, just go to their profile page and click “Invite to review”, choose a review option and add information about the manuscript. Then click “Send invitation” and the Reviewer will receive your request immediately (will receive an email and in-app notification).

Once the Reviewer accepts your invitation a standard review flow is initiated. Go to the Manuscripts page to manage all your reviews, track deadlines and communicate with invited reviewers.
